Getting started
Open a YouTube video page in desktop Chrome and click the SIDEWEAVE extension icon. Save a note at the current timestamp and return to that moment from your library. You can choose Korean, English, or Spanish for the interface.
If the workspace does not open
After reloading or updating the extension, refresh the YouTube tab and click S again. Try the video’s /watch page instead of a miniplayer on the home page. Save important input first. Deleting records or reinstalling is not our recommended first step.
Protecting your entries
Entries stay in your current Chrome profile and do not automatically sync across devices. Export your full library as JSON to back up important entries. If a draft conflict appears, save your input as a separate entry before opening the latest version. Check your backup before removing the extension or clearing browser data.
What to include in an inquiry
Include your Chrome version, SIDEWEAVE version, the visible error message, and the action that triggered it. Do not initially attach screenshots with personal content, video links, note text, library backups, cookies, or browser profile files. If needed, we will ask for a minimal redacted example.
Supported use
SIDEWEAVE is a desktop Chrome extension. It does not run inside the mobile YouTube app. Automatic video topic detection, video recording, and cloud sync are not currently available. SIDEWEAVE is not affiliated with YouTube or Google.
